Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Election 2023, 4 PTI MLAs Rebelled

In Azad Kashmir, the alarm sounded for the candidate of Tehreek-e-Insaf in the election of the Prime Minister, four members of the Assembly of Tehreek-e-Insaf rebelled, due to an unexpected situation, the election schedule was not released on Saturday. According to Jang Akhbar, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council was elected in the Legislative Assembly on Saturday on the seat vacant due to the death of Kashmir Council member Sardar Syab Khalid. The most likely possibility was that immediately after the results of the Kashmir Council election, the Prime Minister's election would also be held on Saturday by suspending the rules of the Legislative Assembly, but Tehreek-e-Insaf's candidate Sardar Adnan Khalid was the only candidate from his own party out of 31. He managed to get 26 votes while Sardar Atiq Ahmed of Muslim Conference managed to get a total of 27 votes. Due to this unexpected situation, on the instructions of the central leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaf, the election schedule of the Prime Minister was not released on Saturday. Earlier on Friday, after the meeting of Tehreek-e-Insaf central leaders Asad Qaiser, Pervez Khattak and former Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas with President Azar Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood in Islamabad, this news came to light that PTI has appointed Barrister Sultan Mahmood. Chaudhry Mohammad Rasheed has been nominated as the candidate for the Prime Ministership on the proposal. After the strong reaction of Tehreek-e-Insaf assembly members, it was announced that Tehreek-e-Insaf has not nominated any candidate and the final candidate will be announced by Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan.
