New Zealand beat Pakistan by 49 runs in the fifth ODI. According to details, in the fifth and last ODI match, New Zealand gave Pakistan a target of 300 runs to win, but the entire Pakistan team was bowled out for 252 runs. In the last one-day match being played in Karachi, New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and invited Babar Azam to bowl. The entire New Zealand team was bowled out for 299 runs in the 50th over in front of Pakistan's nippy bowling. On behalf of New Zealand, Will Young played an excellent innings of 87 runs. Kiwis captain Tom Latham played 59 runs and Chapman played an innings of 43 runs. On behalf of Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf and Osama Mir took 2 and 2 wickets respectively. Pakistan won the 5-match ODI series 1-4. Pakistan has won the ODI series against New Zealand after 12 years. After today's defeat, Pakistan has moved to the third place in the ICC ODI rankings.
